Teamwork
I’m very excited to report that I have the chance to work closely with a second grade teacher this year to incorporate technology into the content areas. The teacher approached me and that’s nearly a first. Through this collaborative effort we hope to expose the class to many different types of technology activites and help the teacher feel more confident when using these types of activities with the students in my absence. Just the excitement we both feel will have to make the kids excited.
In addition, I talked with a specialist about incoporating a blog with a fifth grade class. Keep your fingers crossed that we can pull this off. If we get the blogs up and running, it would be great if we could all post comments for the kids. That will help them understand that what they are saying is reaching an audience outside the classroom walls. I’ll keep you posted!

I think it would be interesting to incorporate a blog with one of my classes. What is the context for the blog? I would like to work on technology projects with some of the teachers in my building this year also. (It may be easy since I teach art- I can wrap a project around something in their curriculum.) Hopefully, I’ll be able to work something out!
