Another week, another idea!
No doubt, you think about school over the weekends. All teachers do, and I’m no exception. This weekend I discovered a fifth grade blogging project called Bloglical Minds. This is one I’ll be watching to model after. I hope to have a SW fifth grade blog up and running this week.
There’s a wiki for kindergarten teachers, started by Deb Marines. Feel free to stop by Kinderfun and leave Deb a message.
The Integrators will be meeting on October 24th at West Manheim. We’ll take part in the first annual K12 Online Conference.
The group will learn about social networking tools in the classroom from people that are actually using them. The group should walk away asking themselves - how can I use these tools in a way that helps students think about learning in a whole new way. Most likely, we’ll all be asking ourselves to look at learning in a whole new way too!
The ElemTech wiki has been revived on pbwiki. Visit the site to learn more about wikis - create a page - leave a post. Just do something to contribute. The only way these tools will really work is when there is back and forth efforts. Use this blog and wiki as a way to get going with these tools. As your working with them as a teacher, think about how you could use them with your learners.
