Keeping up is hard to do…

Whew! It’s hard to stay on top of what’s going on in the world of educational technology. My goal is to read alot and try a little. That way I’ll have a small idea about everything, but learn alot about one thing at a time.

Currently, I’m learning about blogging with elementary students. I visit Blogical Minds to watch what is going on with a fifth grade class. A tech type person set up the blog and is working with the classroom teacher to introduce blogging to the students. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind if you dropped them a comment.

Of course, there are tons of topics to read about. Podcasting is one of those. I you are interested in learning more about podcasting and education, you might want to read Elementary School Students Become Podcasting Pros on the Apple site.

If you’re interestd in any type of Web 2.0 tools, check out the K12 Online Conference. This conference will cover many topics, but the great thing is - you can watch/listen at your leisure. Many of the presentations will be available for download. I’ll keep you posted, but I’m going to try to see as many as I can. I don’t want to miss a thing :)
