Virtual field trips are great! With third grade’s study of the economy, we used to try to take a field trip to a local factory to learn more about producers. Now we can visit many factories all over the world through virtual field trips. Check out this website of factory virutal field trips http://manufacturing.stanford.edu/onlinetours.html. I particularly liked the tour of the Hershey chocolate factory http://www.hersheys.com/discover/chocolate.asp!
