Links and tips shared by South Western teachers are often the most useful because we share the same curriculums. When sites and tips are shared with me, I’ll post them here so all can benefit. I know that in many cases, the links people suggest and the tips they share get filed away due to lack of time and brain space. Check here for the one you forgot!
- Claire Eaton and Shannon Resh at Park Hills have shared sites that have templates for creating games using PowerPoint.

Þ PowerPoint Games - Jess Wright at West Manheim shared The Music Room, a site full of songs to liven up your classroom. Some examples are: The –ING song, The Comma Song, plus math and science topic songs.
- Hope Stout at Baresville shared information about the Susan Byrnes Center site—Learn to Be Healthy. This site is an online health science learning site designed to help educators communicate health concepts to students in grades K-6.
- Ben Olewiler at West Manheim shared the Chart Jungle which provides printable charts for just about any situation. Good for use in school and at home!
- Susan Glover at Park Hills shared Kids Konnect . This site has information on tons and tons of topics and is safe for kids to use. Check out the alphabetized list page to see what’s available. I bet you’ll bookmark this one!
- Erica Plappert from Manheim shared a site for working with powers of 10. Move from the actual size of a leaf into a microscopic world that reveals leaf cell walls, the cell nucleus, chromatin, DNA and finally, into the subatomic universe of electrons and protons.
