Vacationing
During today’s workshop, we are working on online journaling. Using a blog as an online journal is a way to move from 20th century teaching and learning to 21st century teaching and learning. The topic is: a favorite vacation spot.
There are many places I visit that I don’t necessarily consider a vacation when I go. These are just places we enjoy, so we make repeat visits. However, when I really think about it, they are indeed vacation spots. One of my favorites is the Delaware shore. From Lewes to Fenwick, the beaches and attractions are just great. As a college student, I spent a lot of time in Dewey Beach, but now that I have a family we spend more time in Rehoboth and Bethany Beach. The shopping is great, the beach is nice and the boardwalk in Rehoboth is just enough. Plus, with Ocean City just a bit down the road, the Delaware shore is a great place to vacation.
Even in the off season, Rehoboth has a lot going on. I’ll be visiting again in a couple of weeks for a weekend vacation with some of the other moms. We’ll visit each other, the spa and the outlets. It may be a short visit, but still a vacation nonetheless.
Do you think a vacation spot has to be a place you only go once in awhile or can it be a place you visit more frequently? What’s your favorite vacation spot? Do you visit there often?
